The idea

Light belongs to the room.

Vale & Form explores a digital direction for a British architectural lighting studio. The aim was not to make a conventional portfolio or product catalogue, but to make the visitor feel as though they were moving through a considered physical space.

The experience combines original art direction, architectural imagery, restrained typography and a custom Three.js sequence. Camera movement, depth, light, material and text are tied to one controlled progress system across trackpads, mouse wheels and touch screens.

It is deliberately quiet. The visual system avoids familiar interface patterns and relies on proportion, timing and atmosphere to communicate maturity.
